Pakistani Students Develop Innovative Device That Extracts Water From Air, Solving Country’s Water Crisis

Source: Startup Pakistan

A team of students from Bahria University has created an innovative device named “Hydrogen,” which aims to address Pakistan’s severe water shortage by extracting water directly from the air. This invention offers an effective and affordable solution to the nation’s ongoing water crisis.

The device works by converting 60% of atmospheric moisture into clean drinking water. Its affordability is a key feature, as the water it produces costs 70% less than bottled water. When powered by solar energy, the cost of producing one liter of water drops to just Re0.50.

This cutting-edge technology provides a sustainable way to deliver safe drinking water to communities in need. The students’ invention showcases the potential of local talent in developing solutions for global environmental challenges. It brings hope to water-scarce regions of Pakistan, offering an efficient and low-cost alternative to traditional water sources.
