Two students from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan have developed a brain-controlled wheelchair aimed at empowering disabled individuals. The innovative wheelchair, designed by Dawood and Faizan Akhtar, allows users to control movement through their thoughts using sensors and batteries.

Dawood explained, “This wheelchair is operated with the mind. If you think to move forward, it will move forward; to go back or left, everything is controlled by thoughts.”

Faizan added that the wheelchair is user-friendly, even for those who cannot speak, enabling disabled individuals to move independently. This revolutionary invention promises to transform the lives of many who rely on wheelchairs, giving them newfound freedom and autonomy.
