Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan has made history by setting new Olympic records for the longest and second-longest javelin throws in the history of the Games. Competing in the Paris Olympics 2024, Nadeem’s remarkable throws of 92.97 meters and 91.79 meters have earned him the top two spots in Olympic javelin history.
This outstanding achievement places Nadeem ahead of previous record holders, including Andreas Thorkildsen of Norway, whose throw of 90.57 meters in the Beijing Olympics 2008 had long been considered the benchmark. Other notable athletes, such as Germany’s Thomas Röhler and the Czech Republic’s Jan Železný, were also surpassed by Nadeem’s exceptional performance.
