Pakistan’s Emaan Khan Secures Gold in MMA Asian Championship

Pakistan’s Emaan Khan secured a gold medal at the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Asian Championship, triumphing in the senior women’s flyweight 56.7 kg category.

In a thrilling final match, Emaan defeated Kazakhstan’s Dinara Ayapova, earning Pakistan its second gold medal in the tournament.

Earlier in the competition, Bano Butt had also won a gold medal in the women’s category, adding to Pakistan’s success in the championship. The event was held in Lahore, attracting fighters from across Asia.

Indian MMA fighter Khushboo Nishat, who participated in the championship, shared her positive experience in Pakistan.

Speaking to the media after her semi-final match, Nishat expressed that her preconceived notions about Pakistan had changed. She praised the warm hospitality she received, stating, “The people here are very good, not at all as we heard.”
