Authorities in Karachi have sealed the dental clinic of former president and PTI leader Dr. Arif Alvi, located in the Sindhi Muslim Society. The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) posted a notice on the clinic stating that the facility was built on unauthorized premises.
In response, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party condemned the government’s actions. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), PTI criticized the decision to shut down Dr. Alvi’s clinic, calling it an example of political vendetta. The statement read, “These fascist actions reveal the ugly face of the People’s Party’s politics, fully exposing their false claims of supporting democracy and human rights.”

The sealing of the clinic adds to the ongoing tension between PTI and other political parties, particularly amid accusations of political victimization. Dr. Arif Alvi, who previously served as the president of Pakistan, had been practicing dentistry in Karachi before the clinic’s closure.
