In recent news, Pervez Khattak, chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP), has refuted rumors suggesting his departure from politics following the nationwide general elections held on February 8.
‘Baseless and misleading’
Speaking to a local news channel, Khattak vehemently denied claims of quitting the party or retiring from politics, labeling such reports as baseless and misleading. He asserted his unwavering commitment to public service, reiterating his dedication to serving the people.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition of his contributions, Khattak reaffirmed his resolve to continue working for the betterment of society. Addressing speculation surrounding his resignation, he clarified that there was no truth to the rumors circulating about his withdrawal from politics or departure from the party.
Acknowledging the election results with humility, Khattak accepted the outcome and respected the decision made by the electorate. Despite facing defeat in the general elections, resulting in the PTIP securing only two seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Khattak remains steadfast in his commitment to his political pursuits.
