The cold weather has finally gripped Pakistan and is expected to further intensify in the coming days. With single-digit temperatures recorded in various areas of Punjab recently, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an alert for Sindh too.
Mercury to drop to single-digit in Sindh
As per the official details released by PMD, a severe cold wave has hit the Sindh region including Karachi and the temperatures are predicted to drop to a single digit. The reason behind this is said to be the westerly system that entered the province via Balochistan.
Furthermore, it was also revealed that mercury will drop as low as 5°C in Karachi and Hyderabad while the temperature will touch 3°C in Sukkur, Khairpur, Sanghar and other cities of Sindh this weekend.
The chilly spell began on 12th January and will go on till 17th January.
