Pakistan’s general elections have once again sparked controversy as the opposition party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claims that the results are vehemently being rigged in favor of the “people of the national”.
PTI-backed candidates ahead amid manipulation!
According to official reports, PTI-backed independents leading in more than 154 National Assembly seats, placing the party in a solid position to form a government at the federal level. The party has also claimed a clear majority in the provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
However, the late-night alleged manipulation of results has left many questioning the election’s legitimacy. PTI has called the manipulation an “utter disgrace and a brazen theft” of the people’s mandate.

Despite the controversy, PML-N and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have maintained that the elections have been totally ‘free and fair’. The coming days will determine the course of Pakistan’s political future as Khan’s claims continue to be at the forefront of public discourse.
