Countrywide agony was observed after the former ruling party, PTI’s Twitter stated suspicions of Imran Khan’s arrest late last night. Supporters and workers gathered outside the residence of their leader, in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday.
Thousands reach Imran Khan’s residence on one call
According to the senior leader Fawad Chaudry who was later arrested by the Islamabad police, thousands of workers reached Zaman Park within half an hour of receiving the message. The senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was detained earlier today after criticizing the government for formulating what he called a plot to detain Imran Khan.
Soon after Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest, Jhelum’s GT Road was blocked by the protestors demanding the immediate release of the former minister.

In addition, Chaudhry Fawad’s court appearance in Lahore was delayed and while he was being taken to Islamabad, Farrukh Habib, Secretary of Information (Central) for PTI also questioned and tried to stop the convoy transporting Fawad Chaudhry.

As of now, not just PTI members but several Pakistani celebrities and public figures also took to Twitter to show their support for Fawad Chaudhry.

Hammad Azhar, another prominent PTI leader also expressed his extreme disapproval of the current situation stating that the authorities are trying to cover up their economic failures by creating this political unrest to silence people against the severe economic downfall.

On Wednesday, after Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest, Imran Khan addressed the nation and asked the government authorities and judicial system to save Pakistan and its nation from the ill plans of the ‘imported government’ or else there will be no Pakistan left to be saved.
