Punjab is set to honor Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem by building a state-of-the-art stadium in his hometown, Mian Channu.
The stadium, named Arshad Nadeem Stadium, will celebrate the javelin thrower’s remarkable achievements, including his recent gold medal and record-setting performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Pervez Iqbal, Director General of Sports Punjab, made the announcement during a meeting with Nadeem, where they celebrated his historic win. Iqbal praised Nadeem, calling him “a true hero and role model for Pakistan” and acknowledging the pride his success has brought to the nation.

The new stadium is part of the Sports Board Punjab’s broader initiative to promote sports in the region by developing talent and improving facilities. It aims to inspire young athletes to follow in Nadeem’s footsteps and achieve greatness in their respective sports.
