Mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Biaggio Ali Walsh, the grandson of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, has found a new source of strength during the holy month of Ramadan. Despite the physical and mental challenges of fasting from sunrise to sunset, Walsh believes that the experience has only made him stronger.
‘Ramadan makes me feel stronger’
In a recent interview, Biaggio Walsh shared that Ramadan has given him an opportunity to deepen his spiritual connection with God and learn more about his faith. He has been studying the Quran and watching debates to gain more knowledge about Islam.
As an athlete, Walsh has found that fasting has not hindered his training routine. He continues to train five times a week and has even surprised his teammates with his strength during fasting hours.
The MMA fighter has been using his non-fasting hours to fuel his body with food and water so that he can train harder the next day. He believes that the challenge of fasting has only made him mentally and physically stronger.
