In Pakistani politics, a recent social media exchange between PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah and popular content creator Junaid Akram has caught the attention of many.
PTI’s nomination under fire
The debate started when Junaid Akram criticized PTI’s choice of Ali Amin Gandapur as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He expressed his disappointment in a tweet, stating that Gandapur and Buzdar were not fit to rule over millions of citizens in Punjab and KP and that they would not even qualify for a clerical position at Shaukat Khanum.
The viral interaction:
Dear J. Akram, Now take a look at the comments section. This is a cult mindset, produced by IK, where an individual cannot express his or her opinion! Hopefully, as a content creator, you'll also contribute to educating them. https://t.co/pEWxVBrCez

In response, Sanaullah urged Akram to “educate the cult mindset allegedly produced by PTI founder Imran Khan” and to contribute towards breaking the cycle of blind following in Pakistani politics. While some agreed with Akram’s views, others defended PTI’s choice of Gandapur and Buzdar, stating that they are qualified and capable leaders.
