Record Number of Pakistanis Seek Immigration, Leads Global Rankings

According to the latest United Nations World Population Prospects 2024 report, Pakistan has recorded the highest number of immigration applications globally. With 16 million citizens reportedly applying for immigration, Pakistan surpasses all other nations in terms of people seeking to move abroad.

The report reveals that Sudan follows Pakistan, with 14 million applications for immigration, while India stands third with 9 million applications. Other countries with significant emigration trends include China (5 million), Bangladesh (5 million), Nepal (4 million), and Ukraine (3 million).

The findings underscore a growing trend of migration fueled by socio-economic and political factors in these countries. Economic hardships, political instability, and a lack of employment opportunities are cited as primary reasons driving this wave of immigration, particularly in countries like Pakistan and Sudan.
