During the discussions, Prince Salman highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to working with international and regional partners to de-escalate the conflict. He reiterated the Kingdom’s strong support for the P@lestinian people and their right to a fair and lasting peace.
The absence of Isr@el’s name in the press release has caught attention and suggests a possible shift in Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Isr@eli-P@lestinian conflict. This follows reports that Prince Salman is concerned about personal risks related to efforts to normalize relations with Israel.

Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia indicated it would not establish diplomatic relations with Isr@el until a Palestinian state is recognized within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
