Saudi Arabia’s press release about the recent talks between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and P@lestinian President Mahmoud Abbas notably did not mention Israel. The meeting, held in Riyadh, was focused on addressing the ongoing genocide in G@za.
During the discussions, Prince Salman highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to working with international and regional partners to de-escalate the conflict. He reiterated the Kingdom’s strong support for the P@lestinian people and their right to a fair and lasting peace.
The absence of Isr@el’s name in the press release has caught attention and suggests a possible shift in Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Isr@eli-P@lestinian conflict. This follows reports that Prince Salman is concerned about personal risks related to efforts to normalize relations with Israel.
