Saudi Arabia is introducing music education in its primary schools as part of a significant overhaul of the country’s education system. The initiative was announced by Noor al-Dabbagh, Director of Planning in the Saudi Ministry of Culture, during the Learn Conference in Riyadh.
As part of this development, over 9,000 female teachers are being trained by the Ministry of Culture to teach music in schools. These educators will be responsible for delivering music lessons to primary school students, marking a major shift in the Kingdom’s educational approach.
In addition to music, arts and culture will also be integrated into the curriculum, providing students with a more comprehensive learning experience.

This move is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to modernize its education system, aiming to foster creativity and cultural awareness among its students.
