In a heartwarming gesture of support, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, has extended a royal invitation to the Pakistan cricket team. The invitation, contingent on their victory at the ongoing T20I World Cup 2024, promises a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage to Hajj 2025.
The ambassador’s heartfelt video message, released as the tournament gears up in Dallas, adds a spiritual dimension to Pakistan’s quest for cricketing glory. Skipper Babar Azam and his team are set to begin their campaign on June 6th against the United States.
With Saudi Arabia fostering its own cricketing ambitions, joining the International Cricket Council in 2003, and establishing its national federation in 2020, this invitation reflects a deeper connection beyond the field.
