In a moment of pride, a Pakistani-Canadian, Shahid Chaudhry has been appointed as a judge in Canada’s higher courts. Not just that, he has become the first Pakistani to be appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice. With this appointment, Shahid Chaudhry has achieved a historic milestone and has set an inspiring example for many.

Originally from Burewala, Punjab, Justice Chaudhry moved to Canada 25 years ago and has since worked tirelessly to build a successful career in law. He completed his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He later pursued his passion for law by completing his post-graduation from Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada.
Justice Chaudhry has a vast and impressive experience in the field of law. He has been a member of various committees of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He has also served as a consultant on Canadian Immigration and Citizenship laws in 2011. His wife, Maliha Shahid, also serves as the deputy mayor of Whitby, a town in Canada.
