Sindh MPA Calls For Legal Action Against Sahil Adeem Over Derogatory Remarks On Women

On Thursday, PPP lawmaker Marvi Faseeh submitted a resolution to the Sindh Assembly Secretariat, condemning derogatory remarks made by motivational speaker Sahil Adeem about women during a recent appearance on a TV show.

Adeem had asserted that 95% of women in Pakistan are “jahil” (ignorant) on the show Mukalma, hosted by the controversial screenwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Ayesha Jehanzeb. When challenged by a woman in the audience, Adeem doubled down on his argument, sparking widespread outrage.

In her resolution, Marci Faseeh strongly criticized Adeem’s remarks, labeling him a “so-called motivational speaker” whose comments are a severe affront to Pakistan’s religious, social, and legal values. “Sahil Adeem’s comments have caused great offense to women at large”, the document read.
