Sindh Senior Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has revealed that the provincial government is in discussions with global investors to introduce a bullet train service between Karachi and Sukkur. The initiative is part of broader efforts to attract foreign investment into key sectors of the province, including agriculture, health, transport, and energy.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Memon highlighted the potential of these investments to create significant employment opportunities for Sindh’s residents. He emphasized the government’s commitment to modernizing infrastructure and services in the province.
As part of these initiatives, the Sindh government plans to establish a state-of-the-art health city in Karachi. The facility will house advanced research laboratories and manufacturing units for medical equipment. Memon shared that international investors had already pledged $1 billion for the health sector, which includes acquiring land in the Dhabeji Economic Zone and establishing industries.
