Tamil Nadu motivational speaker, feminist, and social activist Sabarimala Jayakanthan has converted to Islam, announcing her decision at the Holy Kabah in Makkah. Adopting the name Fatima Sabarimala, she held the sacred cloth of the Kabah, marking her conversion, inspired by her journey through the teachings of the Quran.
On her first visit to Makkah, Fatima shared her experience, explaining, “I asked myself why there is so much hatred against Muslims in the world. I started reading the Quran as a neutral person. Then I came to know the truth. Now I love Islam more than myself.” She urged Muslims to share the Quran with the world, expressing, “You people have an amazing ‘Book’; why are you hiding it in your homes?”
