UK Officer Filmed Assaulting ‘Pakistanis’ at Manchester Airport

A disturbing video showing a police officer kicking and stamping on a man’s head during an arrest at Manchester Airport has sparked outrage online. The incident, which occurred on July 24, was captured by a bystander and has since gone viral, leading to widespread condemnation.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed they have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and suspended the officer involved. The video shows the officer aiming a taser at a man on the ground before violently assaulting him. Bystanders can be heard pleading for the violence to stop.

The altercation reportedly began in Terminal 2 and escalated into a “violent assault” on officers. Four men were arrested on charges including affray and assaulting emergency workers. A female officer suffered a broken nose, and other officers required hospital treatment.

GMP Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry acknowledged the public’s concern, calling the event “truly shocking.” The IOPC is now investigating the use of force by the officer. The incident has also sparked protests, with demonstrators demanding justice and accountability.
