Viral Claim of Islamabad Donut Shop Sealed Over Incident with Chief Justice Proven False

Source: Reddit

A viral claim that Crusteez Donuts in Islamabad was sealed after an employee allegedly disrespected Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has been proven false. Multiple users on social media, including political supporters and journalists, shared a video and image implying the shop was shut down following the incident. However, a fact-check revealed that the shop had actually been sealed earlier for violating dengue-related SOPs, not due to any interaction with the Chief Justice.

The viral video shows Chief Justice Isa at a shop with two women, where an employee allegedly made disrespectful remarks after recognizing him. Initially shared by PTI supporters, the video was examined by experts who found clear evidence of manipulation, including dubbed audio and editing issues.

Crusteez Donuts responded with an official statement, addressing the situation. The company clarified, “At Crusteez Donuts, we are committed to treating every customer with respect and fairness. The refusal of service by the employee was an individual decision and does not reflect our company’s values. We are investigating the matter fully and reinforcing training across all locations.”

The image of the shop being sealed, widely circulated alongside the video, was confirmed to be unrelated to the incident. It was shared earlier by the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner on September 11 after the shop was sealed for violating dengue SOPs.

Thus, the viral claim linking the closure of Crusteez Donuts to the alleged altercation with the Chief Justice has been proven to be false and misleading.
