Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has joined the ranks of Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, by having a wax statue of himself which was unveiled at Jaipur Wax Museum on World Heritage Day. The 35 kg statue, which took over two months to sculpt, commemorates Kohli’s prestigious career and his contributions to Indian cricket.

Undoubtedly, Virat Kohli has been a revolutionary figure in Indian cricket, taking the team to new heights with his batting exploits. He also holds several IPL records, including the highest run-getter in tournament history and the most runs in a single season.
The museum already has 44 statues of other prominent figures, including Mahatma Gandhi, Subash Chandra Bose, Jawahar Lal Nehru, APJ Abdul Kalam, Kalpana Chawla, Amitabh Bachchan and Mother Teresa. Visitors to the museum had expressed strong opinions that Kohli should be added to the collection.
The wax statue is located in the museum’s sports section, standing alongside the statues of Tendulkar and Dhoni. It showcases the trio’s achievements and contributions to Indian cricket. The unveiling of the statue was a momentous occasion for Kohli’s fans. The fans who have always admired him for his passion, dedication and commitment to the sport.

Virat Kohli is currently the Orange Cap holder in IPL 2024, mustering 361 runs in 7 innings at 72.20. The right-handed batter has hammered two fifties and a century. But the three-figure score against the Rajasthan Royals came in a losing cause.
