Woman Beaten To Death By Husband, In-Laws Over Delayed Meal In Layyah

In recent news, Police in Layyah, Pakistan, are investigating the death of Parveen Bibi, a woman allegedly tortured to death by her in-laws on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in Kot Sultan village, where Parveen’s husband, Muhammad Yusuf, and his brothers are accused of beating her severely with clubs after she reportedly delayed preparing food. The FIR (First Information Report) states Parveen lost consciousness during the assault.

Rushed to a series of hospitals in increasingly critical condition, Parveen ultimately succumbed to her injuries. An autopsy has been conducted.

Parveen’s uncle, Abdul Majeed, filed a murder complaint against the four suspects. Layyah District Police Officer Asadur Rehman has assured that the accused will be apprehended. He emphasized that violence against women will not be tolerated, and a special team has also been formed to investigate the case.
