Karachi University (KU) honored Dr. Zakir Naik, a renowned Islamic scholar, with an honorary doctorate during a special ceremony at the Governor’s House on Wednesday evening. The event was attended by dignitaries, including consul generals, the chairman of Sindh Higher Education Commission Dr. Tariq Rafi, KU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Khalid Iraqi, and senior faculty members.
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, who also serves as KU’s chancellor, presented the award to Dr. Naik in recognition of his global efforts to promote Islam. Governor Tessori praised Dr. Naik for delivering thousands of lectures worldwide, making him a highly respected figure within the Muslim world.
Dr. Naik, who is visiting Pakistan as a state guest, has gained international recognition for his debates on various Islamic topics. Governor Tessori expressed confidence that Dr. Naik would continue his mission of spreading Islamic teachings with the same dedication and passion.
