Alizey Khan Makes History As First Pakistani Woman To Receive ‘Diana Legacy Award’

26-year-old Alizey Khan has made history by becoming the first Pakistani woman to receive the prestigious ‘Diana Legacy Award’. It recognizes young world leaders for their social contributions and humanitarian efforts. This year, the award was presented by Prince William at a ceremony in London.

Among her notable achievements, Alizey Khan founded the Ruhil Foundation. It is dedicated to combatting food insecurity by providing cooked meals and ration bags to those in need. She has also conducted hygiene drives in underdeveloped areas and provided education to children of sex workers.

Khan has been actively fundraising for Lahore orphanages and has even extended support to flood affectees in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.The ‘Diana Legacy Award’ which marks the Diana Award’s 25th anniversary, celebrates the achievements of 20 young leaders worldwide every two years.The award has the support of both her sons, The Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex.

Alizey Khan’s dedication to serving her community has earned her a place among the 20 recipients of this year’s award. The independent judging panel, chaired by Baroness Doreen Lawrence had the difficult task of selecting just 20 individuals from a pool of exceptional nominees who had already been recognized for their impact on society with The Diana Award in 2022.
