Apple overtakes the smartphone Industry as the best seller ending the Korean tech firm Samsung’s 12-year run as the industry leader. Valued at over $3 trillion, Apple has become the largest company in the world by market capitalization as of December 2023. However, Samsung, with a market cap of over $374 billion, is now the second-leading global powerhouse.
Apple vs Samsung, who is better?
As per reports, Samsung makes up over a fifth of South Korea’s GDP while the major portion of Apple’s revenue is generated by iPhones. Moreover, Apple is also the first tech company in the world to integrate its self-created operating system.
The first-generation iPhone was announced by then Apple CEO Steve Jobs back in January 2007. Since then, Apple has annually released new and improved models and iOS updates.

On the other hand, Samsung was founded by Lee Byung-Chul in 1938 as a trading company. Over the next three decades, the group diversified into areas including food processing, textiles, insurance, securities, and retail. Samsung entered the electronics industry in the late 1960s and the construction and shipbuilding industries in the mid-70s.
