Apple is preparing to introduce its thinnest iPhone ever with the upcoming iPhone 17 series, expected to debut in late 2025. Among the new lineup, the rumored iPhone 17 Air is set to steal the spotlight with a sleek design approximately two millimeters thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro, which currently measures 8.25mm in thickness. If accurate, the iPhone 17 Air will measure around 6.25mm, breaking the record previously held by the iPhone 6 at 6.9mm.
The iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to feature a 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a single rear camera, and Apple’s next-generation A19 chip. Reports also suggest the device may omit the SIM tray, aligning with Apple’s gradual shift toward eSIM technology.
The iPhone 17 series will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. While the focus on slimmer designs marks a departure from recent trends toward thicker models for larger batteries and advanced camera systems, Apple appears to be balancing innovation with practicality.
