Australian Priest Embraces Islam After 45 Years in the Church

Australian priest Gould David, after 45 years in the Church, has announced his conversion to Islam, now going by the name Abdul Rahman. His journey began during a trip to Perth for his brother-in-law’s funeral, where he stayed near Perth’s main mosque. Feeling an inexplicable pull to visit, he met an imam who gave him a Quran.

David shared with The Deen Show, “I had the Quran on my shelf for years but rarely read it. This time, I prayed for guidance, asking God to reveal the truth to me.” Upon reading the Quran, he felt a deep conviction that it was the true word of God.
