As per the latest news, The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has reportedly rejected the possibility of a potential Pakistan-India bilateral series.
Najam Sethi’s earlier proposal
The anticipation for this highly awaited series reached its peak when Najam Sethi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hinted in an interview with the international publishing company that the series could be held at a neutral venue.
“I think bilateral Test matches can be played in Australia, England or South Africa. But I think the best bet would be England, and following that Australia. If you can get a house full in any of the Australian stadiums, fine, that would be great”, Sethi said.
BCCI’s strong rejection
However, earlier today, the BCCI has shown no interest in pursuing such a series against Pakistan. An Indian media outlet quoted a BCCI source stating that there are no plans for any future bilateral series with Pakistan.
