President Arif Alvi, on Wednesday, named Justice Qazi Faez Isa as Pakistan’s next chief justice, succeeding the incumbent Justice Umar Ata Bandial upon his retirement on September 17.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa, a seasoned senior judge of the Supreme Court, has been appointed to lead the country’s highest judicial institution.
