Honda Atlas Cars have once again increased the prices of its vehicles in Pakistan, causing widespread concern among consumers. With the latest hike, the cost of the high-end Civic variant has crossed the Rs 10-million mark for the first time in history. This move by the automaker comes amid a challenging economic environment in the country, where inflation has been rising for some time.
The economic meltdown
The price hike results from several factors, including the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee, rising production costs, and increased taxes on imported parts. The latest increase in prices has been met with disappointment by many consumers, who were already struggling to afford vehicles due to the economic downturn.
The prices were revised earlier this week. After a huge increase of Rs 1 million, the new price of the top-of-the-line 1.5L Honda Civic is Rs 10.199 million.

While Honda Atlas Cars have defended its decision to raise prices, stating that it is necessary to maintain quality and ensure that the company remains profitable, it remains to be seen how consumers will respond to this latest move. With the cost of living in Pakistan already high, it is likely that many potential buyers will be forced to reconsider their purchasing decisions or opt for more affordable options.
