Imran Khan Handed 3-Year Prison Sentence, Disqualified For 5 Years & Fined In Toshakhana Case

In a shocking turn of events, former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has been handed a three-year prison sentence and a five-year disqualification in the Toshakhana case. Punjab police arrested Khan from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Toshakhana Case

The case revolves around the misuse of Toshakhana (state gift depository) privileges during Khan’s tenure as Prime Minister. An Islamabad trial court found him guilty of accepting gifts beyond the allowable limit and failing to declare them. As a result, he has been slapped with a fine of 1 Lac Pakistani Rupees.
