Veteran actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda has been hospitalized following an accidental shooting in Mumbai early Tuesday morning. The 60-year-old actor sustained a leg injury from his own licensed revolver while preparing to leave for Kolkata around 4:45 AM.
According to reports, Govinda was storing the weapon in a cupboard when it accidentally fell, discharging a bullet that struck him below the left knee. He was promptly taken to CritiCare Hospital, where the bullet was successfully removed, and his condition is now stable.

Close aide Shashi Sinha confirmed that Govinda is conscious and able to communicate. His wife, Sunita Ahuja, assured fans of his well-being and is rushing to the hospital. Meanwhile, Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, reported that he is recuperating well and will remain in the ICU for monitoring for at least 24 hours.
