“Istehkaam-E-Pakistan Tehreek” Serves Legal Notice To Jahangir Tareen For Stealing Party’s Name

Recently, a legal notice has been served to Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan, the patron-in-chief and president of the newly formed “Istehkam-e-Pakistan”, respectively. The notice has been issued by Ahmed Kaleem, accusing them of unlawfully adopting the name of his party.

As per the legal notice, the party in question, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Tehreek, was officially registered on May 17, 2022. Kaleem contends that Tareen’s party has deliberately appropriated the name of his pre-existing party. He further states that it is a direct violation of the Election Act 2017.
