In a much-anticipated boxing match between two generations, Jake Paul won against boxing legend Mike Tyson by unanimous decision at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Friday. The fight was streamed live on Netflix and attracted a full crowd, but it didn’t quite live up to the huge excitement before the match.
The 27-year-old social media influencer turned boxer displayed superior mobility and strategy, landing 78 punches compared to the 58-year-old Tyson’s 18. Tyson, wearing a knee brace, struggled to match Paul’s pace and power, showing signs of age despite flashes of his former brilliance.
“Fighting Mike Tyson is an honor,” said Paul post-fight. “It was as tough as I expected, and he’s still a warrior.” Tyson, although wobbled in the third round, managed to defend well enough to avoid serious damage but failed to mount an effective offense.
Adding to the controversy, a leaked fight script circulated online before the match, predicting a fifth-round KO by Paul. However, the actual bout ended with a unanimous decision after five rounds, leaving fans debating its authenticity.

Though the result marks a significant achievement for Paul, many fans expressed disappointment, hoping for a more competitive clash. Tyson’s legacy, however, remains untarnished in the eyes of his supporters.
