Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has reached a record net worth of $228 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This milestone reflects a $7 billion increase from his previous high of $221 billion earlier this year, driven by a surge in Amazon’s stock performance.
Amazon’s shares climbed following a strong earnings report and further gained momentum after the re-election of Donald Trump, closing at a record high of $207.09. This growth has contributed to a 40% rise in Bezos’ wealth this year, as he owns nearly 9% of Amazon’s stock.
In addition to his financial success, Bezos donated $110 million to organizations supporting homeless families, addressing a growing issue in the United States. The donation is part of his $2 billion commitment announced in 2018 to support initiatives for homelessness and early childhood education.

Bezos’ donation comes at a critical time as homelessness, particularly among families, continues to rise. In November 2023, he also pledged $117 million in new grants to support nonprofit organizations in the US and Puerto Rico, reaffirming his dedication to social impact efforts.
