PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz Becomes First Woman To Be Elected As CM Punjab

In a historic moment, Maryam Nawaz has been elected as the first female Chief Minister of Punjab, securing an overwhelming mandate with over 220 votes. Her election marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s political landscape, signaling a shift towards greater gender inclusivity and representation at the highest levels of government in the province.

On emerging victorious, Maryam Nawaz outlined a comprehensive plan for her tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab. In her speech, she spoke about her commitment to providing technology to the students and youth, enabling them to fulfill their dreams and compete with neighboring countries like India and Bangladesh.

The newly-elected CM Punjab also announced the launch of an air ambulance in the northern areas of Pakistan, which will help those in need of medical attention. Moreover, she also pledged to provide support for women who are facing violence, harassment, or any uncomfortable environment.

She further praised the bravery of women police officers and expressed her desire to empower women across the province. Another important issue that Maryam Nawaz addressed is the rising cost of electricity bills with a promise to explore alternative sources of energy and plans to implement solar systems in the province soon.
