The Pakistan Deaf Cricket Team, under the leadership of Zaka Ahmed Qureshi, clinched the championship title at the Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) T20 World Cup 2024 held in Sharjah, UAE from 6th to 12th March. This victory marked a historic moment for the team and Pakistan’s cricketing community.

The tournament featured six nations, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia competing fiercely for the coveted title. However, it was Pakistan who emerged as the unbeaten champions, showcasing exceptional skills and determination throughout the event.

In the thrilling final match against Sri Lanka, Pakistan displayed a dominant performance, securing victory by a staggering margin of 88 runs. Batting first, Pakistan set a formidable target of 151 runs, thanks to their solid batting lineup. In response, the Pakistan bowlers delivered a stellar performance, restricting Sri Lanka to a mere 63 runs in 16.5 overs.
