Pakistan – China – Spain

This event will mark a significant milestone for Pakistan, as it will be the first time since 1990 that an eight-team hockey event will be held in the country. While Pakistan has previously hosted the Hockey Champions Trophy in 1994, 1999, and 2004, those events only featured six teams. In 2018, Pakistan last hosted an FIH event, which included four teams.

However, if Pakistan manages to secure the Gold medal in the upcoming Asian Games scheduled from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou, China, they will not be required to participate in the Qualifiers in their own country.

This is an exciting opportunity for Pakistan to showcase its hockey prowess on its home turf and ignite a new wave of passion for the sport among the nation’s fans.
