In recent news, three members of the Pakistan national hockey team, along with a team physio, have reportedly applied for political asylum in Europe, as reported by local media on Thursday. The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has responded to this development by imposing a lifetime ban on the individuals involved.

According to PHF Secretary Olympian Mujahid Ali, the players — Murtaza Yaqoob, Ehtisham Aslam, and Abdul Rahman — along with the team physio, traveled to Poland with the national team. However, they did not return with the rest of the squad, raising concerns about their intentions.
