Pakistani Man Honored by Indian PM for Saving Indian Pilgrims at Hajj

Asif Bashir, a 32-year-old Pakistani, has been recognized by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his heroic actions during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. Bashir, who works as a Database Supervisor at the Chief Minister Secretariat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saved the lives of 17 Indian pilgrims amid a deadly heatwave.

Bashir’s selfless efforts included providing water, administering life-saving medicines, and carrying fainted pilgrims over long distances, ultimately saving around 26 lives. His bravery and compassion have been lauded by Indian authorities and have garnered widespread admiration.

Prime Minister Modi commended Bashir for his extraordinary heroism and humanitarian spirit, highlighting the significance of his actions in fostering goodwill and solidarity between the two nations.
