Pakistani Mountaineer Naila Kiani Summits World’s Highest Peak Mount Everest

Young Dubai-based Pakistani climber Naila Kiani has made history by successfully reaching the summit of Mount Everest, the tallest peak on Earth standing at 8,849 meters above sea level. This impressive accomplishment comes just weeks after her climb of Annapurna I, the world’s 10th-highest mountain.

“Making the whole nation proud”

Naila now joins the exclusive group of Pakistani women who have conquered Everest, with Samina Baig being the first to achieve this remarkable feat back in 2013. Sharing her excitement about the great accomplishment, Kiani said, “There is no better feeling than being on top of the mountain, holding the flag of your country, and making the whole nation proud.”

In addition to Naila’s achievement, late mountaineer Sajid Ali Sadpara also made his mark by becoming the first Pakistani to conquer Mount Everest without the aid of high-altitude porters and supplemental oxygen.
