We have often heard the phrase “everyone has a soulmate” but who would’ve thought that in this digitally progressive era, people would find theirs through an online game, right? Well, such an incident recently took social media by storm and netizens are stunned.

Earlier this week, the Indian authorities took a  minor Pakistani girl in custody after she allegedly forged her documents and illegally crossed the border to marry her newfound love. As per the details, the teenage girl was staying in Bengaluru where she and her 26-year-old boyfriend were arrested.

The Pakistani girl who used to live in Hyderabad met Uttar Pradesh (UP)’s Mulayam Singh Yadav while playing online Ludo. Yadav came in contact with the girl last year and worked as a security guard in Bengaluru, Whitefield deputy commissioner of police (DCP) S Girish stated.

What does the police say?

Further, speaking on the unusual matter, he said, “The man used to work as a security guard at a private firm and used to play Ludo online. Last year, he came in contact with the minor girl and recently, he asked her to come to Bengaluru so they could get married. They made a plan to bring her over to India through Nepal in September 2022”.

“She has been handed over to the FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office), and a case is filed against the man. He has been arrested. We can’t divulge details, but it was based on credible information from a source”, the DCP ended.

Police reports reveal that the duo got married in Nepal and entered India illegally. They were living in the laborer quarters under Bellandur police station limits for quite some time.
