In a distressing incident near Karachi’s Saddar Mobile Market, a citizen identified as Abdul Jabbar, who sells watches, fell victim to the notorious parking mafia’s brutality on Tuesday.
What actually happened?
The incident unfolded when Jabbar refused to succumb to the extortion demands of the parking mafia, which had demanded double the usual fee for parking his vehicle. In response to his refusal, the parking mafia resorted to violence, striking Jabbar on the head with a stone and subjecting him to a severe beating, resulting in injuries that necessitated his immediate hospitalization.
Abdul Jabbar recounted the harrowing experience, stating that he typically paid Rs100 for parking his vehicle but was extorted for more money on that fateful day. The situation escalated to the point where his motorcycle was vandalized.

Acknowledging the severity of the situation, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South has intervened, instructing the Preddy Station SHO to apprehend the members of the parking mafia responsible for assaulting Abdul Jabbar. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the need for stricter measures to curb such criminal activities.
