PM Shehbaz Sharif condemned Israel’s ongoing violence in Gaza, describing it as a “great tragedy” where Palestinian children are being killed, and homes are being destroyed.

He stressed that the global community cannot remain passive in the face of this cruelty and called for immediate international intervention to halt Israel’s attacks.

Advocating for a two-state solution, PM Shehbaz highlighted that it remains the only viable path to peace in the region. He urged the UN to grant Palestine permanent member status, which, he argued, would contribute significantly to lasting stability.

The prime minister also extended his critique to India’s actions in Kashmir, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to combating terrorism. Members from Iran and other nations similarly boycotted Netanyahu’s speech, echoing concerns about Israel’s role in fueling conflict in the Middle East.
