Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has raised concerns about the facilities reportedly being provided to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan while incarcerated in Adiala Jail, Lahore.

In a statement, PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari claimed that Khan receives amenities exceeding those allowed under the jail manual. Specifically, Bukhari questioned the presence of an exercise machine and a walking track within Khan’s cell, which he alleges are unavailable to other inmates.

Demanding action, Bukhari urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, under whose authority the jail falls, to take notice of the situation. He requested that Nawaz investigate whether these facilities comply with the jail manual and, if not, address the discrepancy.

This development comes after the federal government presented documents and photographs detailing the facilities provided to Khan during a Supreme Court hearing on Thursday. These documents reportedly confirm access to books, an air conditioner, a television, and meetings with lawyers for the former Prime Minister.
