“Without A Doubt, PPP Will Form Next Government In Pakistan”: Claims Bilawal Bhutto

Former Foreign Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has made a resounding declaration, stating that there is ‘no doubt’ that his party will assume power in the next government.

Bilalwal’s take on ‘elections delay’

Speaking at a ceremony held at Sukkur’s Jinnah stadium, Bilawal expressed his firm belief that elections are imminent, asserting that even if they are not conducted within the constitutionally mandated 90 days, they will undeniably take place within 120 days.

This proclamation comes on the heels of Bilawal’s remarks at the inauguration ceremony of a water filtration plant in Hyderabad, where he criticized his former political allies for seemingly avoiding the upcoming elections. While not explicitly naming them, his comments were aimed at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which has shown reluctance to support elections within the 90-day constitutional timeframe.

It’s worth noting that Bilawal has consistently echoed his party’s central executive committee’s (CEC) stance in favor of holding elections within the 90-day window. However, this stance has created a divide within the PPP, as former President and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari advocates for fresh delimitations under the new census, effectively favoring elections beyond the 90-day limit.

As Pakistan’s political landscape continues to evolve, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s assertion sets the stage for a dynamic and closely watched electoral process in the near future.
