PTI Reclaims Two NA Seats After Recounting, Defeats PML-N & JUI-F Candidates

As per the latest details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has regained the seats of NA-11 and NA-43. The development comes after the results of the recount showed that PTI-backed candidates emerged victorious in both constituencies, defeating Amir Maqam of PML-N and Asad Mehmood, the son of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and leader of JUI-F.

Allegations of rigging

The recount was carried out after allegations of rigging were made against the ECP. However, the results have now confirmed that the PTI had officially won the seats in question. The victory is significant as it strengthens their position in the National Assembly.

The PMLN and JUI-F have expressed their disappointment over the results, with Asad Mehmood’s defeat being a major setback for JUI-F. Later, they also accepted the results and congratulated the PTI on their victory.
