Pakistan’s research integrity is under scrutiny after a report revealed it holds the second-highest number of retracted research papers in a global list compiled by the Nature Science Journal.

The report, which analyzed retractions from 2023, found over 10,000 research papers were deemed not credible, fake, or plagiarized. Saudi Arabia ranked first with the highest number of retracted papers, followed closely by Pakistan.
